We respect your privacy and designed TextEdit.cc so your writing stays with you.

No Uploads, Ever

Your editor content is never sent to the web server. There is no upload button, no file transfer, and no server-side document storage. Your writing is stored locally in your own browser only.

What We Store

• Your text is saved in browser localStorage on the device and browser you are using.
• Your background color, font color, and typeface preferences are also saved locally in that same browser storage.
• We do not intentionally collect your name, phone number, home address, or document contents.

Technical Data

Like most websites, basic request information such as IP address, access time, and browser details may appear in infrastructure logs for security and operations. Those logs are not your editor content.

Advertising, Cookies, and Third Parties

TextEdit.cc does not use cookies to store your writing. Older editor-session cookies from earlier versions are cleared when the app loads so saved text remains browser-local only.

We use Google AdSense to display and measure advertising. Google and its partners may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses, or similar technologies to serve, personalize, and measure ads, prevent fraud, and produce reports. Depending on your location and consent choices, ads may be personalized or non-personalized. Learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services and review Google’s Privacy Policy.

You can manage browser cookies through your browser settings and review advertising controls at My Ad Center. Blocking cookies may affect some advertising features but does not prevent you from using the plain-text editor.

External and Affiliate Links

Some pages contain links to external websites, including clearly identified sponsored or affiliate links. Those sites apply their own privacy policies. We may earn a commission from qualifying purchases made through an affiliate link, at no additional cost to you.

Your Responsibility

If your text is important, keep your own backup. Local browser storage can be removed if you clear site data, change browsers, change devices, or use private browsing.
