Getting Help

When reporting an issue, share what happened, which browser you used, and the steps that led to the problem. Please do not send sensitive text; TextEdit.cc is built so your writing stays in your browser.

Quick Documentation

• Draft missing? Check that you are using the same browser profile and have not cleared site data. We cannot recover browser-local drafts from the server.
• Need a backup? Use Save .txt in the bottom status bar and store the downloaded file somewhere you control.
• Formatting disappeared? The editor intentionally handles plain text. It does not preserve fonts, links, tables, images, or word-processing layout.
• Preview looks different? Choose a typeface and colors in the top toolbar. Display preferences do not become part of a downloaded TXT file.
