Terms of Service
By using textedit, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
1) Service Description
textedit provides a browser-based plain-text editor with a live preview and local appearance settings. Features may change over time as we improve the tool.
2) Local Data Responsibility
You are responsible for keeping backups of anything important. textedit stores editor content locally in your browser only, so clearing browser storage, switching devices, or using a private browsing window may remove your saved text.
3) Acceptable Use
Please do not misuse, attack, overload, reverse-engineer, or interfere with the website or its infrastructure.
4) Intellectual Property
The textedit name, design, and service materials belong to textedit and/or their respective owners. Please do not reuse them without permission.
5) Third-Party Links
We may link to external sites. We are not responsible for their content, security, or privacy practices.
6) Warranty & Liability
The service is provided “as is”, without warranties. To the maximum extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages.
7) Legal
These terms are governed by applicable U.S. law. If part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
